The Nor'wester, strong and fast that rips and tears at top speed across the Canterbury Plain. Often followed by it's yard mate, the Southerly, big, powerful and barrelling its way up the Plain.
Both indicate their imminent arrival with a deep roar, more heavily mechanical in origin, steel on steel, injectors and stacks, piston and valves, return cranks and radius rods, supercharged heat exchangers ............
